I was JUST thinking yesterday about making a trip to the zoo. We haven't been in about a year and a half. And I completely agree about the difference it makes when it's just you and the kids. Going with friends is fun in its own way, but you never get the depth of exploration you might get in going on your own, with only your own agenda. Actually, that is one of the reasons I don't mind doing anything on my own - and by that I mean just me, alone. I know some people who would never go to a movie or museum or eat alone. I have just never had a problem with any of that.
